Finely appliqued temple motifs on rich silks, hand-embroidered jeweled motifs and borders bring subtle illumination. Organza, French net and specially woven south silk and brocades are the highlights of this stunning collection.
Bright, intense, contrasting hues of Indigo Blue, Crimson Red, Beige, Fuchsia, Marigold Orange, Mellowed Gold, Emerald-green, Black and the quintessential South Gold amalgamate to create this offering.
Embellishments include embroideries infused with semi-precious jewels and patterns of the temple jewelry, delicate and fine tassels border the hemlines of blouses and cuffs.
Re-invented lengths and patterns take focus, with blouses, necklines, cowl drapes and layering of sheer fabrics. The iconic lehenga-choli transforms into a kaleidoscope of colors and patterns, crafted for both the contemporary and the traditional Indian Bride.
'That is it' ! Yes this is the collection by young and dynamic designer duo Falguni and Shane Peacock.
A story of love, a tale of passion and a saga of magnificence all told through a scintillating bridal collection on the runway at the opulent BMW India Bridal Fashion Week. Presenting an array of bridal outfits sure to take your breath away, this collection is a celebration of intricate fabrics, sumptuous embellishments and novel silhouettes.
Aptly named ‘That is it’ the collection encapsulates the sheer love for fashion and art that France signifies and the traditional opulence that is synonymous with India.
The collection includes voluminous and slim fit floor scraping gowns, slender sari gowns, saris, willowy anarkalis and statuesque bridal lehengas adorned with magnificent capes. Layers of organza and tulle, forming billowing volumes, bold play of sheer, intricate floral and baroque appliqué, meticulous prints and oriental inspirations are a mainstay of this collection.
Keeping with the quixotic vintage feel, shades of icy blue, pale pink, Dull Lilac, Frosted gray, Ivory, Champagne, Tanned beige and Caviar are embroidered and embellished to create stunning goddess-like forms. Elegant silhouettes and luxurious detailing form an ethereal aura that emits a vintage feel too opulent to be true.
Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty were seen gracing the ramp for the first time as showstoppers for Falguni and Shane Peacock.
Sensuality meets sensibility. Mystery unravels in surreptitious layers. Silhouettes sparkle with subtlety. Tradition leaves a decisive trail. Heritage twirls in secret knots. Modernity is coveted with finesse. Pleasure follows drama. History weaves its magical optimism.
Focused on the couturier’s art, Tarun Tahiliani has weaved a story where opulence is crafted out of comfort. The Couture and Bridal 2015 collection aptly titled, ‘Our Eclectic New World,’ explores the possibility of a wearable lightness of being.
